Fright Night (2011)

No caption. Just pure adoration.
Overall, this was an entertaining film by the woman who ran Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and featuring the man who played The Doctor. At it's best this film is very charming, and often times silly. It's hard to tell at times if Marti Noxon's script is stale, or if Craig Gillespie's direction is a little rough. It is difficult to fault a remake for being predictable, especially when the main cast members are giving absolutely delightful performances. I do have to say that Anton Yelchin continues to impress me by turning out great performances, and Colin Farrell has done some of his best work this year, between this and "Horrible Bosses".

Grade: B-

Only Anton can take a bite out of crime... no? Ok...

Starring: Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, David Tennant
Director: Craig Gillespie
Writer(s): Marti Noxon - Story: Tom Holland
RT: 106 min
Rating: R for bloody horror violence, and language including some sexual references
